Georgian House Plans

The "Georgian" architecture developed around 1700, and is rooted in the classical designs of ancient Rome during the reign of the first three Kings George of England. It came to America through the many masons, carpenters and other emigrates from England. It is very rigid in symmetry, balanced proportions and classical details it reflects a very formal and dignified style. It is often categorized under the "Colonial" style. Pediments typically adorn the grand front entry, with brick facades finishing off the dominating and formal appearance
